This collection consists of several Civil War period enlistment/discharge forms. There are also company rolls of enlisted men and correspondence. Also included are documents relating to Mr. Smith's attempts to gain a pension for his service in the Mexican War; several stock certificates; documents pertaining to his mortgage payments; insurance forms for his house, and papers relating to the death and burial of his daughter.
